SCHIZM: Mysterious Journey is graphical, first person perspective, 3D pre-rendered adventure game with a compelling non-violent SF story combined with a highly non-linear gameplay, in which the player chooses the order in which most of the puzzles are solved.
The game, created by the Polish developer LK Avalon, offers a mix of puzzles of varied types, including mechanical, logical, sound and inventory based puzzles. This combination, seamlessly integrated with the fascinating story inspirited by the award-winning Australian science fiction writer Terry Dowling, appealing to everyone from newcomers to the field to die-hard adventure gamers.
A thrilling first contact adventure awaits you, as you start to explore a fascinating landscape of living ships, floating cities and alien deception. From here the story unfolds it selves as an intriguing puzzle waiting to be solved. To achieve this goal, the player can simultaneously control two protagonists who can explore the game independently, further expanding the game's non-linearity. This particular feature will free the player from the annoying situation of being stuck at a particular puzzle.
Players can switch their characters with just a simple the press of a button but their cooperation is required at certain points in the game, which adds another dimension to the standard problem-solving techniques employed in other similar adventure games. The story involves interaction with several live characters and information interchange between the protagonists. Due of this fact, the player won't feel left alone on a deserted planet.

In Schizm, you may never get bored with one location. You'll have just enough time to wonder at all the strange contraptions, and then you're off to discover some more. Much more, to be straight form the shoulder, since players can expect around 40 (!) hours of gameplay, to complete the most immersive adventure game ever made. Schizm is available on PC-CD rom and DVD rom.
